The Equity, Inclusion & Justice Summit will highlight the experiences of minority and underrepresented veterans in the USA and pave the way for a brighter and more inclusive veteran community.
Washington, DC – MVA will host the Equity, Inclusion & Justice Summit 2022 on 15 & 16 October 2022 virtually on the vFairs platform. The summit will bring together the underserved and minority veteran community, their families, and service providers for a two-day virtual experience like no other. Interested veteran community members and allies can join the summit by registering here.
The MVA Summit aims to empower the minority veteran community that are often left out of the American veteran narrative. Taking inspiration from the quote, “we are the ones we have been waiting for” as the theme, the summit aims to highlight the systemic barriers that prevent them from accessing their earned benefits and share their vision for a more inclusive future.
The EIJ Summit 2022 is a joint venture from Comcast, REI, and Boston Beer Company. The two-day virtual event will feature various panels, fireside chats, prizes, panel discussions, live performances, and more. The event will also feature a resource job fair with hot jobs for minority veterans.
With over 50 speakers, artists, advocates, epic prizes for attendees, jobs and community networking opportunities, the #MVASummit22 is a must-attend event.
“The Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Summit is our community’s opportunity to come together each year to discuss the most pressing issues in our community and of our time, this year that’s never been more critical,” said Lindsay Church, Executive Director of Minority Veterans of America. “After a challenging few years, we’re coming together as a community and leaning into our calls for change as we build a future full of joy.”
Muhammad Younas, the CEO of vFairs also added, “Minorty veterans are important members of the community having served their country with honor and valor. Virtual summits like #MVASummi22 are great to help them feel like a welcome part of the community and open discussions about systemic injustices and lack of viable opportunities for them.”
Veterans, service members, community partners, government employees, service providers, and anyone else interested in attending the event can get free access. It will take place on October 15-16, 2022 and you can register here.
