Nestlé Hellas S.A, a market of Nestlé in Athens, Greece, hosted their second virtual event with vFairs, Nestlé Green Skills Week 2022, as part of their Nestlé Needs YOUth program. The goal of the event was to help young people develop themselves in a way that will help them find a job and kickstart their career. The event was well-received, with an average overall score of 4.8/5 from attendees, who thanked the Nestlé team for hosting the event.
There were several challenges that Nestlé Hellas S.A faced while organizing the Nestlé Green Skills Week 2022 event. Some of these challenges include:
Hosting the event in person would have meant that only those who lived in or near Athens would have had access to the event. Nestlé wanted to reach a wider audience across Greece, and a virtual event was the solution to this challenge.
Ensuring that the event had engaging and informative content was crucial to its success. The Nestlé team had to work hard to create content that was not only relevant but also informative for young people who attended the event.
Another challenge was to ensure that the platform used for the event was user-friendly for both the attendees and the Nestlé team. The platform had to be easy to navigate, with minimal technical issues to ensure a smooth event experience for everyone.
With limited resources and time, the Nestlé team had to ensure that they created an event that was not only engaging but also cost-effective. The team had to prioritize the most important aspects of the event while keeping costs down.
Despite these challenges, the Nestlé team was able to create a successful event by partnering with vFairs. The team leveraged the vFairs platform’s multiple functionalities and user-friendly interface to create an engaging and interactive virtual event experience.
To overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic, the organizers decided to host a virtual job fair using vFairs platform. The platform provided various features and tools to make the event interactive and engaging. Some of the vFairs features used at the event are:
Exhibitors were given a virtual booth where they could showcase their brand, products, and services using customizable graphics and videos. This allowed them to present their company and offerings in an engaging and visually appealing way.
The platform provided real-time communication features such as chat and video meetings, allowing job seekers to interact with potential employers and ask questions in real-time. This helped create a more personal and interactive experience for attendees, similar to an in-person job fair.
Exhibitors could post job openings directly on the platform, making it easier for job seekers to browse and apply for positions. This feature helped streamline the application process and allowed exhibitors to receive more targeted and qualified job applications.
The organizers hosted live webinars on topics such as resume writing, interview skills, and career advice, providing attendees with valuable insights and tips to help them succeed in their job search. Webinars also allowed attendees to interact with industry experts and ask questions in real-time.
The vFairs platform provided detailed analytics and reporting on attendee engagement, booth traffic, and other key metrics. This helped exhibitors and organizers to measure the success of the event and make data-driven decisions for future events.
The project manager played a crucial role in coordinating with the client and ensuring that all aspects of the virtual event were executed seamlessly. Some of the responsibilities of the project manager included:
Overall, the use of the vFairs platform allowed the organizers to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic and create a successful virtual job fair that was engaging, interactive, and effective. The customizable booths, real-time communication features, job postings, webinars, and analytics and reporting tools were all instrumental in creating a seamless virtual event experience for both job seekers and exhibitors.
The virtual event format allowed the team to reach a larger audience across Greece. The event received an average of 4.8/5 stars from attendees. The interactive presentations and discussions encouraged attendees to ask questions and interact with Nestlé experts. The reporting tools offered an in-depth look at how the event performed, attendee logins, webinar visits, and individual user journeys.
Nestlé plans to host hybrid events combining physical presence with live broadcast through an interactive virtual platform in the future.
