Touchstone Announces Virtual Recruitment Event for Under-represented Groups To Find Jobs in NHS Mental Health Trusts, with vFairs as Event Technology Partner

The virtual event will offer under-represented communities the opportunity to find employment with NHS Mental Health Trust and learn what it’s like to be a support worker in the mental health sector.

Leeds, UK – Touchstone has announced the NHS West Yorkshire Mental Health Trusts Online Job Fair to be held on 27 September 2023. The event will help underprivileged individuals find a job with NHS Trust. This virtual recruitment event will provide an opportunity for under-represented communities, including Black Minority Ethnic, LGBTQI+, and people with disabilities to find work at NHS. At the event, attendees will have the chance to connect with Touchstone and NHS Trusts’ representatives to learn about the job prospects in support work, cleaning, administration, nursing, and diverse roles such as HR and Communications.

Event attendees can explore booths hosted by prominent entities including NHS, Touchstone, the National Careers Service, Leeds Volunteer Centre, NHS Employers, and Aspiring Allies, enhancing their understanding of broader career opportunities.

Participants will be able to join informative webinars covering insights into the role of a support worker within the NHS/charity sector, valuable information about psychological professions, guidance on refining interviewing skills, and exploration of allied health professions.

About the Touchstone Event

Touchstone has partnered with the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership to address and improve the workforce diversity and inclusion in three mental health trusts in West Yorkshire: Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust, South-West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust and the Bradford District Care Foundation Trust.

The overarching aim of the project is to support people from diverse groups into roles with these trusts as follows: 

• Offering one-to-one employment support
• Hosting four virtual, and four in-person NHS inclusive recruitment events during 2023.
